Schengen Visa from Kochi VFS: Step-by-Step Appointment Guide

Booking a Schengen visa appointment at VFS Global Kochi trips up a surprising number of first-time applicants — not because the process is complicated, but because one early decision determines everything that follows: which country’s counter you book.

Step 1: Decide which country to apply through

Schengen rules require you to apply at the consulate of your main destination country — wherever you’ll spend the most nights. If your trip is split evenly across countries, you apply through the country you’ll enter first. This isn’t a preference, it’s a rule, and applying at the wrong counter is one of the most common (and entirely avoidable) reasons applications get delayed or refused.

Step 2: Gather your documents before booking
